Annihilators of Artinian modules compatible with a Frobenius map
In this paper we consider Artinian modules over power series rings endowed with a Frobenius map. We describe a method for finding the set of all prime annihilators of submodules which are preserved by the given Frobenius map and on which the Frobenius map is not nilpotent. This extends the algorithm by Karl Schwede and the first author, which solved this problem for submodules of the injective ...
متن کاملFrobenius Modules and De Jong’s Theorem
Let k be an algebraically closed field of characteristic p > 0. A theorem of de Jong shows that morphisms of modules over W (k)[[t]] with Frobenius and connection structure descend from the completion of W (k)((t)). A careful reading of de Jong’s proof suggests the possibility that an analogous theorem holds for modules with only a Frobenius structure. We show that this analogue holds in one na...
متن کاملOn Minimal Artinian Modules and Minimal Artinian Linear Groups
The paper is devoted to the study of some important types of minimal artinian linear groups. The authors prove that in such classes of groups as hypercentral groups (so also, nilpotent and abelian groups) and FC-groups, minimal artinian linear groups have precisely the same structure as the corresponding irreducible linear groups. 2000 Mathematics Subject Classification. 20E36, 20F28. Let F be ...
متن کاملThe length of Artinian modules with countable Noetherian dimension
It is shown that if $M$ is an Artinian module over a ring $R$, then $M$ has Noetherian dimension $alpha $, where $alpha $ is a countable ordinal number, if and only if $omega ^{alpha }+2leq it{l}(M)leq omega ^{alpha +1}$, where $ it{l}(M)$ is the length of $M$, $i.e.,$ the least ordinal number such that the interval $[0, it{l}(M))$ cannot be embedded in the lattice of all su...
متن کاملOn Semi-artinian Weakly Co-semisimple Modules
We show that every semi-artinian module which is contained in a direct sum of finitely presented modules in $si[M]$, is weakly co-semisimple if and only if it is regular in $si[M]$. As a consequence, we observe that every semi-artinian ring is regular in the sense of von Neumann if and only if its simple modules are $FP$-injective.
